    The nonprofit organization Hunger Free Colorado released a report Thursday it says shows that Colorado - and Boulder County in particular - lag behind the national average in enrolling eligible people for food stamp benefits. Food stamps, known officially as the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, provide people with low income monthly funds on a pre-loaded debit card to purchase food.
