    Firefighters from multiple area departments responded to a large fire near the Whitney dam that reportedly claimed the life of one victim Wednesday afternoon, March 21. Firefighters were called to the former Salvage Car-pet warehouse at the corner of Highway 22 and Farm Road 56 on the Bosque County side of the dam in Laguna Park just before noon. As the large building burned and firefighters from multiple Hill, Bosque and McLennan county fire departments battled the blaze, authorities on scene con-firmed Wednesday afternoon that they had discovered one body in the building.
