    Starting June 1, the six libraries in Beaufort County will be scaling back on their hours. Due to a shortage in funding, Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head branches will go from 50 hours per week to 42, Lobeco Branch Library from 40 to 28 and St. Helena will reduce hours from 40 to 32. Library Director Jan O'Rourke said over the phone on Monday that none of the staff will be let go and they are not pleased about the cuts.
