Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters of Michigan announced the funding this week, saying the Northwestern Regional Airport Commission will get more than $1.5 million to rehabilitate runways at Cherry Capital Airport in Grand Traverse County and acquire land adjacent to the airport for development. Bay County and the cities of Midland and Saginaw will get more than $500,000 to rehabilitate runways and maintain pavement at MBS International Airport.
