    Governors are politicians, and politicians have agendas, yet there was more than that to Gov. Pat McCrory's High Country visit on Monday, Feb. 1. First, the agenda. There is no doubt that McCrory's speech before local and state dignitaries and the employees of American Emergency Vehicles in Jefferson was intended to do one thing: Build support for the Connect NC Bond Act, a $2 billion bond referendum that will appear on the 2016 primary ballot March 15. There is also no doubt that in speaking in Ashe County, the governor was preaching to the choir.
