It can be enjoyed on its surface level, for it is a linear drama complete with rising action, climax and denouement, as well as for its exploration of the social issues that swirl, and sometimes boil, within the melting pot metaphor.

    Jason Hellman, 41, was sleeping in the stolen vehicle on the 100 block of Westport around 1:45 a.m. When police attempted to question him he drove off in the vehicle, Vallejo police said. According to police, Hellman began to drive the wrong way on Interstates 780 and 80. Police halted the pursuit for safety concerns and took a stationary position to observe the suspect, police said.
