  19. Tesla's Remarkable Ramp ScheduleRead the original story w/Photo

15 hrs ago | Seeking Alpha

This quick and steep of a ramp is basically unheard of in the industry. Have they bitten off more than they can chew? One of the most important questions I have been asking myself as a Tesla long as of late is just how do they plan to pull off this drastic ramp to 10x current production in 2 years? Will they add one line capable of 400,000 vehicles? 500,000? Will they add 4 lines each capable of 100,000 to match the capabilities of the current line? Will they install one and then wait until they sort out production kinks before bringing on the others? Will the lines, regardless of number, be capable of producing other models that will use the same drivetrain such as the promised Roadster or the elusive Model Y ? With so many options, surely all implying different costs, hiccups, and levels of manufacturing expertise or efficiency, these questions certainly deserve to be answered.
