    A bill is under review by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe that would allow Mountain States Health Alliance and Wellmont Health System to come together as one company. "A merger like this may be deemed anti-competitive by a state and federal anti-trust law so we want to make sure we address it," said State Delegate Terry Kilgore The modified law now says, "A hospital may enter into proposed cooperative agreements with other hospitals in the Commonwealth if the likely benefits resulting from the proposed cooperative agreements outweigh any disadvantages attributable to a reduction in competition."
