    High winds and rain knocked out power to more than 7,000 homes in Jackson County Wednesday afternoon, 6,000 of which were in the south west quarter of the city and Summit Township Nov. 18. Consumers Energy began receiving reports of outages near Albion and Parma just before 2 p.m. with more reports flooding in from around the city and Summit Township around 2:30 p.m. Crews were sent out and found that a tree between Park Road and Kibby Road fell on power lines and knocked out two substations.
