    The article in Friday's edition about the Tusculum College lecture series on "Historical Jesus" does not belong on the Faith page. I attended the first session and was deeply saddened with watching an entertaining Power Point presentation that did nothing to encourage the Bible as a credible resource, just the opposite! Hermann Samuel Reimarus, the German philosopher and writer of the Enlightenment, is remembered for his doctrine that human reason can arrive at a knowledge of God and ethics from a study of nature and our own internal reality.

Kasey Johnson scored the go-ahead field goal with 37.4 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and the Pioneers added four free throws in the closing seconds to rally for the win and move into sole possession of the eighth and final postseason spot in the SAC standings, one game ahead of Coker, Mars Hill and Queens with four games remaining in the regular season.
