    Construction in Pharr by South Texas College to host the Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence is one step closer to fruition as the City of Pharr, STC and the local school district have reached an agreement on the long awaited $7 million facility. The STC Board of Trustees on Jan. 26 approved interlocal plans with Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD and the City of Pharr to build the facility on a 60-acre site near U.S. Highway 281 and the levee.
