The match stayed scoreless until the 35th minute when Point's Holly Nasello opened the scoring after taking a through ball and finishing past Lady Lion keeper Abbey Adkins. Nery Martinez made it 2-0 in the 58th minute after ripping a 20-yard shot that tipped off of Adkins' hand and into the net.
