    Newberry College outfielder Brandan Sheridan has added on to his resume for the past week with being named Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week for Division II baseball, as announced by the ECAC office on Tuesday evening. Sheridan was red-hot this past week with a .545 batting average, 12 hits in 22 at bats, while also carrying a .864 slugging percentage and a .560 on-base percentage.

    The Newberry College football program and head coach Todd Knight have announced the dates and times for this year's Spring Game, Alumni Game and associated SpringFest events. The annual SpringFest will take place on Saturday, April 11. The annual alumni flag football game will take place at 11:30 a.m. that day, followed by the annual Spring Game at 1 p.m. To register to play in the alumni game, please contact assistant coach Jeremiah Jones .

    High winds and fast greens made for a rough final day of the Agnes McAmis Memorial at the par-72, 5,805-yard Links Hill Country Club on Tuesday afternoon, as only 19 players were able to break under 80 in the final 18-holes. The Newberry College women's golf team was able to weather storm and shoot a 323 for the second straight round to finish the tournament with a 646 and haul in their fifth top-five finish on the year.

    The Newberry College Wolves men's golf team wrapped up the Barry University Buccaneer Invitational with a solid 295 in the final round to finish the tough playing field in 11th place. The tournament was held at the par-71, 6,733-yard Normandy Shores Golf Club and sported six teams ranked in the top 20 in the country in the 17-team field.

    The Newberry College Wolves sit in 12th place after the first two rounds of the Barry University Buccaneer Invitational at the par-71, 6,733-yard Normandy Shores Golf Club on Monday. The Wolves came out with a slow first round with a 309 but dropped 15 strokes to shoot 294 in the second round of the tournament.

    The Newberry College women's golf team is in title contention yet again this season as they sit in fifth place heading into Tuesday's final round at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, hosted by Tusculum College at the par-72, 5,805-yard Links Hill Country Club. The Wolves turned in a team scorecard of 323 on Monday afternoon to trail leader King by 12 strokes.

    The Newberry Museum will be scanning old Newberry photographs at the Taylor Building on the corner of Friend and College Streets in downtown Newberry from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 2 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4. The public is invited to bring in old photographs that relate to Newberry County and Newberry College. Subjects could depict the buildings of Newberry County and college or the county's churches, schools, and old homes.
