    Lander University has unveiled a new initiative that will help deserving, talented students from the Lakelands region save thousands on the cost of attending the university. The District Scholars program is designed to provide significant scholarship assistance ranging from $4,000 to $12,000, based upon GPA and SAT/ACT scores to graduating seniors from Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry and Saluda counties.
