    Duquesne University has vowed to appeal a ruling by the Pittsburgh regional office of the National Labor Relations Board ordering it to recognize the Adjunct Faculty Association of the United Steelworkers as the collective bargaining representative of adjunct faculty in the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts. In a letter to the university community Friday, President Charles Dougherty said the university intends to appeal the local decision to the NLRB in Washington, D.C., and, if necessary, to the federal courts.
