The two-part sessions included a classroom component, which took place in the community room and board room at the village Civic Center, and a simulation component at the mostly-vacant Congdon Hall, on the Clarkson University downtown campus.

    Holding Vassar scoreless for a full thirty minutes in the middle of the game allowed the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team to turn a one-goal deficit into a four-goal advantage and the Golden Knights held on for a key 9-6 Liberty League victory on Saturday afternoon. The win moved the Golden Knights back to .500 in both league play and overall , while Vassar dropped to 2-10 and 1-5.

But Rose Rivezzi, town councilor and co-chair of the Recreation Committee, reported at Tuesday night's Town Council meeting that the committee would try to find another way to get the project going after the state Association of Towns advised her that the plan to give Clarkson some money toward renovating four old tennis courts at the school for pickleball would not fall within principals the association upholds.

Due to the fickle nature of the weather, the Knights and Cardinals have not met since 2013, and Clarkson has not hosted Plattsburgh since 2010.
