    A North Charleston woman told police she was approached by an "evil clown" holding a knife Tuesday night while she was walking her dog outside of an apartment complex. According to an incident report from the North Charleston Police Department, the 22-year-old woman saw a person wearing dark clothing and a hood around 8:45 p.m. while she was with her dog at Atlantic Palms, an apartment complex located at 2520 Atlantic Palms Lane near Charleston Southern University.

Late Tuesday evening, a schoolwide alert notified students and faculty that a student walking her dog when she was approached in a threatening manner by a person wearing a dark hoodie and a clown mask, armed with a knife.
