The presentation will provide clergymen, clinicians, social workers, counselors, educators and employers with tools to help those suffering from addiction, the third leading cause of death in the U.S, a news release said.

    A 27-year-old Greenwell Springs woman has been charged as an accessory by East Baton Rouge Parish prosecutors in the June 1 drug-related killing of two Baker men found in St. Helena Parish. Megan Marie Gaylord told detectives she was driving a car on Plank Road between Baker and Zachary when her front seat passenger, William Bottoms Jr., 27, also of Greenwell Springs, shot Derrick D. Williams, 23, and Mohamed S. Hussain, 29, in the back seat, an arrest report states.
