    Deputies arrested a 17-year-old after they say he threatened his sister with a BB gun, which led to a standoff Sunday afternoon in Yucaipa, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials. Deputies received a call from the mother of the teens just before 12:30 p.m. reporting her daughter had been in a fight with her brother who had a gun, according to a news release.

    A 24-year-old Yucaipa man was driving drunk when he struck two power poles, a fire hydrant and seven mailboxes Tuesday evening, Aug. 14, sheriff's officials said. Ranard Barnhardtmuller was driving his Ford Explorer west on Date Avenue toward California Street in Yucaipa around 7:15 p.m. when San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said he lost control and struck the poles, the hydrant and the mailboxes before stopping.

    The 16-year-old gunshot victim who had been dropped behind a 7-Eleven in Yucaipa on Saturday by motorists who then fled had earlier attempted to burglarize the home of a 69-year-old man who owns a gun, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said. The teenage boy, who is a Desert Hot Springs resident, and two other men had tried to break in to a home in the 33000 block of Wallace Way in Yucaipa, a news release said.

    Two people left a 16-year-old Desert Hot Springs boy with a gunshot wound to the abdomen behind a convenience store in Yucaipa and sped off Saturday evening, July 14, sheriff's deputies said. The teen, who was only identified by his hometown, was taken out of a vehicle and left behind the 7-Eleven store at Yucaipa Boulevard and 14th Street just before 6:15 p.m., police said.
