Sampson and another small dog, reportedly named Delilah, were discovered tied to a fence outside YAPS hours after closing on June 16. Sampson was found suffering from a neck injury, while Delilah already had died of traumatic wounds.

Edgar Eric Arreola, 37, was taken into custody in the 31900 block Avenue E on suspicion of carjacking, evading police and possession of stolen property, according to a Redlands police news release.

    Jail records show Dennis Ted Mackey, 70, was arrested at the San Bernardino County sheriff's Yucaipa station and booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of lewd acts with a child under 14. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. Officials say on May 12, Mackey allegedly took two sisters, ages 4 and 7, behind a shed and allegedly engaged in sex with them.
