    DeWayne Melvin Johnson was in the lobby of the San Bernardino County sheriff's station in Yucaipa to register as a sex offender on Friday, Nov. 30, when a 27-year-old woman inadvertently left her wallet on the counter before stepping outside, the Sheriff's Department said. While the office staff was away, Johnson, 39, took the wallet and concealed it in his jacket, authorities said in a news release.
