    A tip that there may be some reason Latimer should not have been driving the day of the crash led me to contact the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles on October 17th which led to an exchange of emails with a DMV Spokesperson Tim O'Brien: I have since been told there is some question as to whether they should have been driving at all but with no further explanation.
