According to The Yakima Herald an exchange of gunfire outside a North First Street convenience store late Saturday night left one man with a bullet wound to the arm and led to a high-speed chase, according to Yakima police outside the AM/PM Mini Mart at 902 N. First St. A group leaving the store apparently got into a exchange with three males in what was described as a mid-1990s tan or gold Acura Legend.

    The search continues for a missing hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail who was last seen leaving the Kracker Barrel on Oct. 10. According to the Yakima County Sheriff's Office, a witness may have spoken to Kris Fowler, 34, on Oct. 22 near Blowout Mountain, about 60 miles north of White Pass. Another possible sighting came from Cle Elum where he was seen near the Safeway store.

    Justin Scott Stewart, 32, was spotted by Yakima police in a stolen car at the intersection of 34th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard at around 5 p.m. He was then taken to a local hospital and then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died as a result of his injuries.
