    A Wayne County Judge on Friday sentenced an Orrville man to 50 years in prison for 20 felony convictions, including the attempted murder of two Wooster police officers, stemming from a 15-hour manhunt last December that began at the Wooster Walmart and ended in West Virginia. James "Bubba" Schmidt, 34, pleaded guilty last month to: two counts of attempted murder, three counts of felonious assault, two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, four counts of vandalism and one count each of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, abduction, failure to comply, having a weapon while under disability, tampering with evidence, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, aggravated menacing and attempted aggravated burglary.
