    A fundraising effort created Sunday by a 19-year-old college student in his bed with an iPhone 6 has turned into a worldwide crusade to help a Detroit resident get to and from work comfortably and live a better life. Evan Leedy, a Wayne State University student, told MLive.com he was so inspired to hear the Detroit Free Press' story of 56-year-old James Robertson's 21-mile walking commute to and from work that he just had to do something.

    Woodhaven took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and held on despite several Ypsilanti comeback attempts, to clinch a Division 2 pre-district game that was hounded by cold, rainy and windy weather. Following a 21-20 halftime lead, Hillsdale scored three second-half touchdowns to outscore Hanover-Horton 21-0 and hold the team to little over 50 yards to grab a pre-district win during its 14th straight playoff season.
