    WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI -- The mother of a woman who died in the Wood County jail of an apparent suicide is suing the jail for wrongful death. The Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune reports that Lisa Sherfinski is asking for up to $350,000, and filed the paperwork for the case on Friday.

When the dogs were rescued, most were covered in fleas, intestinal parasites and one dog tested positive for the Parvo virus, officials said.
