    An Edgecomb man was charged with operating under the influence after a two-car accident on Bath Road in Wiscasset the evening of Friday, March 18. Scott Lane, 49, allegedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.28, more than three times the legal limit, when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing a two-car collision at about 8 p.m., Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline wrote in a press release. Lane was driving a gray 2004 Saturn north on Bath Road when he attempted to make a left-hand turn into the parking lot of Lil' Mart.

Stanley pleaded guilty as part of a 24-month deferred-disposition agreement.

    Speed was a contributing factor to a single-vehicle rollover on West Alna Road in Wiscasset that sent three people to the hospital Thursday afternoon, March 17. Tyler Woestman, 20, of Brunswick, Jeana Lang, 22, of Alna, and Casey Trefy, 22, were transported to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with minor injuries after the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier Woestman was driving flipped two times, and came to a rest on its roof, Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said. The vehicle was traveling in a southwardly direction on West Alna Road in the vicinity of the Wiscasset Speedway when it hit a soft shoulder on a curve, apparently flipped twice, and came to rest on its roof in an embankment on the north side of the road, Cline said.
