    A 53-year-old Willmar woman was charged in Brown County District Court May 22 with felony first-degree drug sale, second-degree drug possession, misdemeanor giving a peace officer a false name and misdemeanor driver must carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle. According to court documents, Terry L. Hyde was accused of unlawfully selling one or more mixtures of 17 grams or more of methamphetamine and possession of 25 grams or more of mixtures containing methamphetamine during a May 20 traffic stop in Springfield.

    A 57-year-old rural New Ulm man was convicted of felony 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct and gross misdemeanor interfering with privacy in Nicollet County District Court March 20. Robert J. Sorenson, 57, 61436 County Road 21, was sentenced to nine years in the St. Cloud Correctional Facility, ordered to register as a predatory offender, serve 10 years on probation and have no contact with the victims. In addition, he was fined $12,080 and ordered to pay $4,651.09 in restitution which remains open for 30 days.

    A rural New Ulm man facing more than a dozen charges in three cases, including criminal sexual conduct, stalking, domestic abuse and wrongfully obtaining assistance, made a plea agreement in Nicollet County District Court Feb. 6. Robert J. Sorenson, 57, 61436 County Road 21, New Ulm, pleaded guilty to one count of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct, gross misdemeanor interference with privacy and a misdemeanor Order For Protection violation. The welfare fraud case was dismissed but Sorenson agreed to pay Nicollet County Social Services $4,651.09.
