But Development Director Andy Coleman said with the 11.7 percent increase the city is receiving in Community Development Block Grant funds this year and projected growth next year, his position can be funded 90 percent by federal dollars in 2019, relieving approximately $8,000 of strain on the general fund.

    A Columbus man wanted for numerous infractions in Wood County and Monongalia County, W.Va., was arrested Tuesday morning by the Williamstown Police Department Police Chief J.S. Graham said information was received Tuesday morning that Timothy Edwin Payne Jr., 37, may be in the area in a 2015 Mercedes-Benz. About 9:45 a.m., Graham saw Payne driving on Highland Avenue and, knowing there were numerous arrest warrants for him, stopped him on West Virginia 31. A passenger in the vehicle stopped, Haley Noel Hull 23 of Williamstown was cited for possession of marijuana,Graham said.

The third annual Henderson Hall Civil War Re-enactment Weekend was held Saturday and Sunday, drawing hundreds of visitors for the event, said Henderson Hall director Randy Modesitt.
