In addition to Bob Patterson, Burlington's water resources director, Ken Jacobs, Whitsett's town administrator, briefly spoke at the Burlington city council's work session Monday evening about the town's request for sewer services from Burlington as it anticipates further business development along U.S. 70. "We essentially had an opportunity to get some development that was very appealing to us, and it all hinged on sewer allocation," Jacobs told the council.
