    The Whitewater Common Council and the city's Community Development Authority met in a joint session Tuesday to discuss options for attracting a new grocery store to the city. Meeting for two-plus hours in closed session at the Innovation Center, the council and CDA discussed two considerations stated on their agenda: what incentives the city could offer to lure a new store to Whitewater and the possibility of the CDA purchasing the former Daniels' Sentry Foods property at 1260 W. Main St. After the closed session, the CDA and council briefly convened into open session and CDAa SChairperson Jeff Knight announced that no formal vote or action would take place on either consideration.
