    Pro-Med Ambulance Service has made some immediate adjustments to their operations to better serve the City of Whitehall after the city withdrew from the White Lake Ambulance Authority on July 1. The Whitehall city council voted 10 months ago to leave the WLAA on June 30, 2016, but failed to negotiate a contract with Life EMS of Grand Rapids for emergency services so fell back on Pro-Med which is licensed to provide emergency service in Muskegon County. Professional Med Team Ambulance , is a nationally accredited not-for-profit community service that was created in 1986.

    An outdoor ceremony to honor the founding members of the Dirt Daubers Garden Club was planned for 11 a.m. on July 11 at Weathervane Park in downtown Montague where the club has maintained one of its community gardens. But, because of rain, it was moved indoors to Montague United Methodist Church where a luncheon with family, friends, fellow club members and local officials was held in the women's honor.

    After confirming a warrant from Shelby Police, the officer relocated the car in the 2700 block of Crystal Lake Rd. at 8:48 p.m. The 20-year-old Shelby resident was taken into custody on a charge of assault and turned over to Shelby Police at the county line. a Whitehall officers were dispatched to a report of people arguing outside a residence near the corner of Livingston and Colby streets.

    A group home resident has been arrested on a sex charge after he was accused of forcibly touching a teenage girl walking past the home in which he is staying last Tuesday afternoon. Whitehall Police reported that they have arrested Calvin Lenell Banks, 20, of Whitehall for Criminal Sexual Conduct-4th Degree, forcible contact on Aug. 2. He was lodged in the Muskegon County Jail, and is being held on $5,000 bond.
