    The April closing of the Consumers Energy B.C. Cobb coal power plant in Muskegon has had a positive impact for the science program at Whitehall High School. Consumers Energy, which owns the B.C. Cobb plant, has donated materials from the plant's testing lab to the science program at Whitehall High School.

    Seven local high school students have been selected by the Montague-Whitehall Rotary Club to attend District 6290 68th Annual Life Leadership Conference, to be held June 15-18 at the Kettunen Center in Tustin. Those students who will attend are: Montague High School juniors Abram Erickson and Allison Rolewicz; Whitehall High School juniors Daisy Genson and Andrew Tallquist.

    The multi-media rock music show that in August 2015 sold out the historic playhouse, 304 S. Mears, will get a double dipping of the same and more at 8 p.m. April 29 and 30. Don't expect an exact replica. "This show will differ in some degrees, and have elements of the same, of course," said Tommy Foster, the local musician who will be joined by seven other musical artists.
