    A $25 million grant has sealed a long-sought reconstruction project in Wheat Ridge along Wadsworth Boulevard from Interstate 70 to 35th Avenue, which officials say will enhance safety, create a bike- and pedestrian-friendly corridor and relieve congestion on the clogged strip. The $40-million project will widen the road to three lanes in each direction, add four new traffic signals, create 10-foot sidewalks on each side of the road and a dedicated bike lane, allow smoother access to I-70 and establish a median, among a host of other amenities.
