    A Wethersfield man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to taking part in a series of hoax emergency calls at the University of Connecticut and other schools, intended to draw responders, such as SWAT units and bomb squads. Matthew Tollis was sentenced to a year and a day in prison on Tuesday, for conspiring to engage in the malicious conveying of false information, primarily a bomb threat hoax, and participating in "swatting" incidents in Connecticut and other states in 2014.
