    For those who want to stay somewhere new in the new year, here are five California luxury hotels set to open in 2018. Kimpton's La Peer Hotel in WeHo joins three other of the brand's boutique luxury hotels in Southern California - Hotel Palomar L.A. in Westwood, Everly Hotel in Hollywood, Hotel Wilshire in L.A. - and opens Jan. 16. It has 105 rooms and suites, and design elements such as sculptured walls and a lobby with a floating, carved ceiling.
