    WESTPORT - With the sole bid for repairs to the stone walls lining the east branch of the Westport River at the Head of Westport coming in much higher than expected, the Westport Landing Commission voted unanimously last week to undertake the project in phases. Russells Mills Contracting of Dartmouth was the successful bidder for the proposed work, which would stabilize and level off roughly 990 feet of stone work on both sides of the river, just south of the Head bridge.
