    One thing is for sure: A new champion will be crowned in Division 4 as Pewamo-Westphalia, which matched a state title the school also captured in football, is moving up to Division 3 based on enrollment. The other returning champions are White Lake Lakeland in Division 1, Corunna in Division 2 and Saugatuck in Division 3. Runners will compete in regional action Oct. 27-28 and the state meet will bring the elite together Saturday, Nov. 4, at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.

    A death investigation is underway after a Clinton County elementary school principal and his son were found dead in a vehicle in Bushnell Township of Montcalm County.     A Clinton County elementary school principal and his adult son died Monday evening after being found unresponsive in a vehicle in Carson City. News of the death of Pewamo Elementary School Principal George Heckman and his son Grant, 27, reached Pewamo-Westphalia Community Schools officials around 7:45 p.m. Monday, June 19, according to superintendent Garth Cooper.
