    The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested a man Thursday on multiple charges after an early morning stabbing on Johnny Cox Road. 32-year-old David Leeland Tanner of Westminster was booked into Oconee County Detention Center just before 1 p.m. A witness who was with the victim during the attack told deputies that Tanner came to the victim's home and would not leave when asked to.

    The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said three teens were charged in connection with a vehicle theft and the theft of tools in two separate incidents. 19-year-old Tyler Gage Cox and 17-year-old Anthony Robert Owens, both of Westminster, and 17-year-old Albert Dakota Oyster-McIntyre of Walhalla were each charged each with one count each of grand larceny.

    Daniel William McElreath, 46, of North Second Street was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center after being arrested in Kentucky on July 12. Reports say during the evening of July 8, a deputy received a call from a victim who was reporting a sexual assault and interested in filing a report. Deputies say the victim reported that the sexual abuse occurred when the victim was 8 or 9 years old, and that the abuse continued on different occasions at multiple Westminster locations until 2005.

    The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said a Westminster man and woman were charged with child neglect after a 23-month-old girl tested positive for meth and marijuana. Deputies said they began investigating on June 8 after DSS reported that tests conducted in May revealed that the baby girl had amphetamine, methamphetamine and THC in her system.

Deputies said 31-year-old Joshua Scott Ivester of Shannandoah Drive in Westminster removed his ankle monitor around 5 a.m. Ivester was arrested in December 2015 on nine counts of petit larceny, nine counts of breaking into cars, and one count of grand larceny.
