The robbery was reported about 11:23 p.m. on Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue after a man brandished a black handgun at an employee while demanding money, said Westminster police Officer Alan Aoki.

    A Costa Mesa man was sentenced to 24 years in prison on Tuesday, May 2, for human trafficking, kidnapping, and burning a woman with an iron. Renice Stevenson Flores-Davis, 28, and co-defendant Oscar Gonzalez-Salinas lived in the same motel as the victim and they recruited the 26-year-old in May 2014 to perform commercial sex acts for their benefit, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
