The man struggled with officers who tried to put handcuffs on him and was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

    Developer Robert Stark wowed the city's planning commission Friday morning, easily winning unanimous conceptual approval for a proposed, $250-million to $350-million development he calls nuCLEus that could transform a moribund part of downtown near the Gateway sports complex . The commission voted 6-0 to approve Stark's early diagrammatic plan and a proposal for tax increment financing in which the city would allow the non-school portion of increased real estate tax revenue from the project to help finance project debt.

Altered license plate, Interstate 90: At 10:29 p.m. Oct. 26, police pulled over a 30-year-old Oberlin man who changed the expiration date on his license plate with a magic marker. The plates belonged on another car and the man's driver's license was suspended.

"FitzGerald's disregard of County policies regarding operating personal or County vehicles on or in the course of County business, without a valid driver's license, is a breach of the public trust that sends the wrong message to County employees and taxpayers."
