    The Champions Parade, in honor of the West Springfield Terriers and Independence Day, begins at Veterans Field at 10:30 a.m. on July 4. The festivities continue with live music and food on the Town Common until 3 p.m. West Springfield will be holding a double celebration this July 4, honoring the birth of our democracy on July 4, 1776, and West Springfield High School's championship baseball team. The Terriers, who defeated Lincoln-Dudbury to win the state's Division I championship earlier this month, will be treated like World Series champions as they climb aboard an open-top Peter Pan bus for a Champions Parade and ceremony at the Town Common.
