    Two Wayne County men were taken to Medina County Jail following their arrests near state Route 83 and Interstate 71 March 29. Criminal patrol officers assigned to the Medina County Drug Task Force reportedly discovered a stolen vehicle parked outside of a business near the interstate shortly after 9 a.m., according to a press release from the task force. The officers reportedly found two men near the vehicle and made contact with them.

    Dustin Harbaugh was charged with breaking and entering, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, theft of a firearm, criminal trespassing, aggravated drug possession and OVI, in addition to charges coming out of Wooster. According to police, an officer spotted a yellow Chevrolet Cobalt with its headlights off on Britton Street shortly before midnight Jan. 23 and, running the plate, determined had been involved in a chase with Wooster Police earlier in the evening.

    A 51-year-old Sterling man has been charged in the deaths last September of two people in a traffic crash on state Route 604 near Miller Road in Milton Township. James Steiner, of Seville Road, is charged with two counts each of vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter, which are misdemeanor counts.

The property, picked up about a year ago after it was foreclosed and failed to sell in a sheriff sale, had run the village several thousand dollars in unwaived back taxes and utility bills and had failed to sell in a previous auction attempt.

    Sept. 28 - Officers went to a Walnut Street address where Ronald Hamrick, 42, formerly of West Salem, was allegedly living out of an RV, keeping his four children from school and using drugs in front of them. Hamrick reportedly threatened family members who had been caring for the children.
