Angelo Scaccia in a field of five in the Democratic primary for the 14th Suffolk state representative district told supporters today she will run again in 2020 but that for now, she will concentrate her free time on working to support Question 3, which would enshrine transgender people's right against discrimination in public places. In an e-mail message, she acknowledged several people have asked her to consider a write-in campaign against Scaccia, who won the Democratic nomination with less than 40% of the total vote: We've looked carefully at the numbers and I'm afraid there's no clear path to victory.

John Lydon wants to put his triple deckers - which would have nine total condos, each with three bedrooms - at 4623 Washington St., a site that has been vacant for decades and where neighbors beat an earlier proposal for a two-building complex some 17 years ago.

    The FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force reports the East Boston Savings Bank branch at 1985 Centre St. in West Roxbury, where the Friendly's used to be, was held up shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday by a man who's gone easy on the Grecian Formula and who demanded money. The robbery came a couple days before the Santander Bank branch at 75 State St. downtown was held up by another man , described as being about 60. It took me WAY too long to realize this was 2 side-by-side photos..."Hmm, is it just me or are these bank robbers identical twins? Shouldn't take too long to find them."

    The Board of Appeals yesterday approved plans to replace two houses on Washington Street at Stimson Street with a nine-unit condo building with - get this - more parking than required by neighborhood zoning. Under the proposal by Edmund Carr, the building would have three stories - the first holding 19 parking spaces, compared to the roughly 12 that would be required by zoning - the second with nine two-bedroom units, between 1,050 and 1,300 square feet in size.

    Boston Police report officers on patrol early this morning collared a guy they say they'd spotted trying to break into Marino's Market & Deli, 1906 Centre St. Police say the officers were specifically looking for a suspect responsible for a spate of break-ins at convenience stores along Centre and Spring street over the past three weeks. This includes Marino's, which police records show was broken into on Jan. 23. Police say the officers spotted German Serrano, 37, of Roslindale, outside Marino's around 1:45 a.m., "facing the front door with a bag at his feet" and appearing "that he was using his body to shield his actions."
