The Superhero 5K, 10K and 1.5 mile racing event begins at the OMC Shaw Medical Building, home to the OMC Cancer Treatment Center. The funds from this event go to help patients who are in need and undergoing cancer treatment at OMC with costs such as medication and transportation to treatments. McGee, MD, has joined the team at Ozarks Medical Center Heart Care Services where he will provide cardiothoracic and vascular surgical care, including open heart surgery. Dr. McGee has nearly 20 years of experience as a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon. He comes to OMC from Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn., where he has been a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon for the past eight years. Prior to that, he was with North Monroe Medical Center in Monroe, La., and Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La. At OMC Heart Care Services, Dr. McGee will provide a range of therapies for surgical diseases that affect the heart, lung, and vascular system.
