    Erin Brophy and Elizabeth Perkins teamed up twice for second-half goals that made the Hope College women's soccer Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament champions. The second-seeded Flying Dutch topped fourth-seeded Alma 4-2 on a sunny Saturday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium to earn the MIAA's automatic berth to next week's NCAA Division III Tournament.

    Hope College's Erin Brophy has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Player of the the Week for games through October 22. The junior from West Lafayette, Indiana scored three goals last week for the Flying Dutch during wins against Olivet and Alma. Brophy scored the go-ahead goal in a 4-1 win at Alma on Saturday that kept Hope within striking distance of MIAA-leader Kalamazoo.

    Erin Brophy's first multi-goal game for the Hope College women's soccer team sparked the Flying Dutch to a 4-1 win against Olivet on Purple Community day at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. The junior from West Lafayette, Indiana scored twice in the first half on Wednesday to propel Hope to a 3-0 halftime lead.
