Thomas Reardon, 32, is being charged with larceny for accepting the large sum of money and disguising the truck's defects instead of fixing them, according to the Westport Police Department.

Police charged Thomas Reardon, 32, of 158 Larkin Pond Road North, West Kingston, R.I., with larceny by false pretenses, according to Detective Jeff Majewski, a spokesman for the Westport Police Department.
