"Through further investigation it was determined that Kayla Marzano , 21, of Prudden Street in West Haven,was linked to the robbery while working as an employee at Wal-Mart," Dempsey said.

Christopher Fogler , of West Haven, was sentenced Tuesday by Chief U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven to 12 months and one day of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for distributing heroin that was involved in an overdose death.

Richard "Ricky D" DeCarvalho, 33, of Scofield Avenue, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment and breach of peace for the death of 42-year-old Wayne "Little" Bentley, of West Haven and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Earl Richards to 30 months, suspended after he serves 20 months and followed by three years' probation.
