Squires was one of two men wanted in connection to the theft of three safes containing nine vintage rifles, gaming records and up to $15,000 cash from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7200 in West Farmington.

    Another $10,000 was added to a $15 million waterline project scheduled to get underway Monday because a snake labeled endangered by the state may live near the installation path. The Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake may live or travel in Farmington and Southington townships along state Route 534, according to a study conducted by a herpetologist for the Blueprint for Prosperity waterline project bringing water to as many as 987 properties in the two townships and West Farmington and Braceville.
