    The residents of West Farmington are closer to gaining a new water source as the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday preliminary funding of about $12.5 million for the Trumbull County Blueprint to Prosperity water project that will extend a line 12.5 miles from Braceville north to the village. State Rep. Sean O'Brien's office made the announcement, saying the county was seeking $15 million but received about $2.5 million less.

Welz, 28, 4544 N. Park Ave., West Farmington, was arrested Friday on charges of burglary and receiving stolen property after Trumbull County Sheriff deputies were tipped he had been in P & A Super Pawn Shop, 5340 Youngstown Warren Road and sold an 1863 Civil War percussion Springfield rifle with bayonet.
