    WEST DUNDEE – Southbound lanes on Randall Road, near Route 72, were down to one lane for about six hours Thursday after a semitruck ran into a power line. Carpentersville Police Deputy Chief Todd Shaver said a semitruck was headed southbound on Randall Road when it was hit by a vehicle that was turning left onto Binnie Road about 1:13 p.m. The incident forced the truck to go off road and hit a power line.

    WEST DUNDEE – Part of Randall Road near Miller Road and Route 72 will be closed until further notice after a semi-truck ran into a power line, dispatcher from Quadcomm said. The dispatcher said some lanes on Randall Road are expected to be shut down for about eight to 12 hours, while southbound lanes for Huntley Road will be completely shut down for a couple hours.

    Undoubtedly, the more than $80 million Algonquin Bypass helped relieve downtown traffic from those motorists traveling north on Route 31, but it didn't help those motorists wanting to travel east or west on Route 62, and I doubt additional stop signs or no-turn-on-red signs will discourage those motorists from driving through the downtown. Except to attend church, I rarely drive downtown.
