Taylor, 62, a Democrat who has served on the Diana council since 1998, said he had considered a legislative run six years ago but has always been a supporter of Legislator Philip C. Hathway, R-Harrisville, and ultimately decided not to run against him.

Lundy's efforts to create an agribusiness park on Route 3. “I just think this is a huge offer, one that the ag community will embrace,” said JCIDA secretary W. Edward Walldroff. “I can get my arm around this quite easily,” The cooperative development agreement between the JCIDA and the West Carthage developer requires the agency to help Mr. Lundy locate grant funding opportunities for the proposed park, support applications he presents to town officials and allow him to apply for a tax abatement agreement through the agency if he chooses, said the agency's attorney, Joseph W. Lundy announced Wednesday that his plan to build a meat processing facility has evolved into an idea for a much larger project: an agribusiness park on Route 3 outside of the city. Mr. Lundy, president of the Lundy Group of Companies, said he plans to build the proposed park, dubbed the Jefferson County Agribusiness Development Center, on a 150-acre plot adjacent to the Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, 20104 Arsenal St. The developer said the location would easily allow him to connect the park to existing water and sewer systems.
